Make Muskingum Home is a talent attraction and retention program designed to make financial awards used to pay student loan debt for eligible candidates. Make Muskingum Home is a joint effort by The Muskingum County Community Foundation and the J.W. and M.H. Straker Charitable Foundation.

To support the Power of the Purse event, make grants to local organizations, and award scholarships as selected by the Power of the Purse committee.

The Light the Hill project is set to replace the athletic field, track, fencing, restrooms and concession stands at West Muskingum High School. Upgrades to the field lighting and locker room facilities have been completed over the last 10 years while the aluminum bleachers are in good condition. The facilities will be used by the majority of the high school sports, youth leagues, and the elementary, middle and high schools for various activities. Total project costs for the excavation, track and turf installation, installation of fencing, new concession stand and rest rooms is approximately $1.4 million.
