Julie Mesaros Scholarship

Julie Mesaros was a 33 year old mother of two, Kristofor and Karlee Mesaros, who passed away from brain cancer in 2012. She was a life long resident of Zanesville and graduated from Zanesville High School in 1996. While at ZHS she was co-captain of the boys soccer team. Julie also excelled in track and won numerous awards for her athletic endeavors. To this day, her time in the 400 meter has yet to be broken. She also was in the band and played trumpet in the marching band. After high school, Julie graduated from Zane State College with a degree in medical lab technology. She was employed by Genesis health care at the time of her passing.

REQUIREMENTS
Applicants must be a graduating Zanesville High School senior with a GPA of at least 2.8 who plans to pursue higher education opportunities during the 2023-24 school year. Applicants must also have participated in band, soccer, or track during their high school career.
