The Muskingum County Community Youth Foundation is pleased to announce its 17th Annual Winter Coat Drive, an opportunity to help the community be prepared for the cold weather.
For 17 years, CYF has collected coats and winter items every fall to redistribute to local organizations that provide winter items to the community. Hundreds of coats, sweatshirts, hats, scarves, and gloves have been distributed to area youth and adults in need.
The Community Youth Foundation is requesting donations of gently used and new coats of all sizes, as well as other winter items such as gloves, mittens, scarves, and hats. Blankets will also be accepted.
Individuals can drop off coats through November 8 at The Muskingum County Community Foundation; The Community Bank Branch at any Muskingum County location; Park National Bank at any Muskingum County branch;; Muskingum County Library System at its Zanesville, Roseville, and Duncan Falls branches; Bishop Rosecrans High School; John Glenn High School; Maysville High School; Philo High School; Tri-Valley High School; West Muskingum High School; and Zanesville High School.
CYF would like to thank Creative Packaging for their continued support of providing drop-off boxes for the drive.
CYF is also accepting monetary donations to help purchase additional winter items if necessary. Donations may be made to The Muskingum County Community Foundation, c/o the CYF Winter Coat Drive, 534 Putnam Avenue, Zanesville, Ohio 43701.
CYF is a component fund of the Muskingum County Community Foundation. It exists to empower youth to make a difference in their community by providing financial and human resources to projects that benefit the youth of Muskingum County. The group engages in a variety of activities including community service projects, leadership development, grant making, fundraising and social activities.
