The Muskingum County Community Youth Foundation is pleased to announce its 14th Annual Winter Coat Drive, an opportunity to help the community be prepared for the cold weather.
For 14 years, CYF has collected coats and winter items every fall to redistribute to local organizations that provide winter items to the community. Hundreds of coats, sweatshirts, hats, scarves, and gloves have been distributed to area youth and adults in need.
The Community Youth Foundation is requesting donations of gently used and new coats of all sizes, as well as other winter items such as gloves, mittens, scarves, and hats. Blankets will also be accepted.
Individuals can drop off coats through November 12 at The Muskingum County Community Foundation; Bayer Heritage Federal Credit Union on Northpointe Drive; The Community Bank Branch on 113 North Fifth Street; North Valley Bank at its Maple Avenue and Maysville Pike branches; Park National Bank at its Market Street, South Fifth Street, and Brandywine branches; Peoples Bank on Maple Avenue; Muskingum County Library System at its Zanesville, South Zanesville, and New Concord branches; Bishop Rosecrans High School; John Glenn High School; Philo High School; and Zanesville High School.
CYF would like to thank Creative Packaging for their continued support of providing drop-off boxes for the drive.
CYF is also accepting monetary donations to help purchase additional winter items if necessary. Donations may be made to The Muskingum County Community Foundation, c/o the 2021 CYF Winter Coat Drive, 534 Putnam Avenue, Zanesville, Ohio 43701.
