Beverly Bell Scholarship Fund
Beverly Bell, deeply rooted in Appalachia, understands firsthand the challenges faced by her community. Driven by a profound desire to give back to the place that raised her, she returned after time away, dedicating herself to ensuring its survival and providing vital opportunities for others.
Her commitment is evident in her extensive involvement with the Franklin Local School District's archery program at Roseville since 2012, where she has tirelessly written grants to secure support. As a social worker and child advocate since 1972, Beverly's career has further deepened her awareness of community disadvantages. She is a truly determined individual who embodies the value of giving back.
The Beverly Bell Scholarship Fund provides support to graduating high school seniors from Muskingum County, Ohio, who are pursuing higher education.
To be eligible, applicants must:
Maintain a minimum GPA of 3.0., reside in Muskingum County, be a graduating high school senior, plan to pursue a degree in a ''helping profession'' (such as teaching, nursing, social work, law enforcement, firefighting, or childcare), attend any type of accredited higher education institution.
Priority will be given to students from Franklin Local School District, with a special preference for those who attended Roseville Elementary School.
