Robert F. and Wendy J. (Longaberger) Little Scholarship

Bob and Wendy (Longaberger) Little have been active members in the Dresden and Tri-Valley communities for over 90 years. Both have been avid supporters of Tri-Valley athletics and gain great pleasure from the school’s successes. Neither Bob nor Wendy attended college, but they have actively supported their family members in the pursuit of an education. In this spirit, this scholarship is available to two Tri-Valley student-athletes who demonstrate commitment to community, academics, and athletics.
REQUIREMENTS
- Students must have at least a 2.5 GPA and be a scholar athlete. Applicants must be able to demonstrate academic and athletic success, as well as a dedication to service and the community. Preference will be given to first-generation and/or limited-income college students.
- Applicants must be Tri-Valley High School graduates and will be assessed, holistically, based on GPA & course rigor, need (sources for funding post-secondary education), essay response, and teacher recommendations.
- Scholarship recipients will receive their award notice at the Tri-Valley High School Senior Awards Assembly. If the student is attending post-secondary classes and is unable to attend the ceremony, a representative may be present to accept the award. The scholarship is to be used for the upcoming school year and is a one-time award. Discrepancies or falsification discovered during the application process will result in the student's elimination. If discrepancies or falsifications are discovered following the award, the student must return the award to the Bob and Wendy Little Giving Fund. Will award to one female and one male student.
