E. N. Dix Educational Scholarship
In 1998, the E. N. Dix Educational Fund at the Muskingum County Community Foundation was established to benefit the Grace United Methodist Church Education Fund and local students through scholarships. 2020 was the first year that scholarships were awarded. Scholarships will be awarded each year to students pursuing bachelors degrees in Elementary Education from accredited colleges or universities who are selected by the Recommendation Committee. Successful applicants will be Muskingum County residents who are in the top twenty-five percent (25%) of their graduating class in overall grade point average and who exhibit enthusiasm and exceptional promise as potential teachers. The scholarships may be renewed for students who maintain a 3.0 grade point average and who are contributing to the payment of college expenses through summer or part-time employment. Students may be older adults. Preference will be given to members of Grace United Methodist Church who meet the above criteria.

You are encouraged to select a school counselor, teacher/professor, an employer, member of the clergy, job supervisor or other person who is in a position to evaluate you according to given criteria to complete your recommendations.
- • Must be a resident of Muskingum County and preference is given to members of Grace United Methodist Church who meet all of the other criteria.
- • Must be in the top twenty-five percent (25%) of their graduating class in overall grade point average.
- • Attending or planning to attend an accredited college or university within the United States.
- • Must be pursuing a degree in Elementary Education.
- • May have graduated earlier and has now chosen to further his/her education as a first-time college student.
