Energy Cooperative: Children of Members Scholarships
Scholarship to high school seniors whose parents/guardians are members of The Energy Cooperative. Six awards in each Boys and Girls Division, 1st place is $2,000, 2nd is $1000. Applicants must have a cumulative 3.5 GPA and be enrolled at an accredited college, university, or trade school. They suggest students contact high school counselors for assistance. The nomination forms are reviewed by staff from Denison University who select finalists to be interviewed. These finalists are personally interviewed at The Energy Cooperative’s Newark office in March and are judged on their scholastic records, personal achievement, school and community activities, poise, personality and appearance during the interview. Four first place scholarships areawarded totaling $8,000. Two $2,000 are awarded to females and two $2,000 are awarded to males. Runner ups in each division, female and male receive a $1,000 scholarship. Available Dec. 1st and due February 2.
