The severe storms and flooding that swept through Central and Southern Ohio on August 11 caused significant damage throughout our region, with some of the hardest-hit communities located right here in Muskingum and Perry County. Torrential rainfall led to flash flooding, emergency water rescues, evacuations, property damage, power outages, and widespread disruption for families and businesses.
Communities including Crooksville, New Lexington, Junction City, and Roseville experienced dangerous flooding conditions, leaving many of our neighbors facing an unexpected and difficult road to recovery.
Whether through a financial contribution, a donation of needed supplies, or simply sharing these resources with others, there are several ways you can help support individuals and families affected by the flooding.
Donations can be made through the Community Cares Fund to help support flood relief efforts. Funds designated for this effort will be directed to local Nonprofit organizations for flood relief and recovery assistance.
The United Way of Muskingum, Perry & Morgan Counties is accepting donations to assist neighbors impacted by flooding and support local disaster relief and recovery efforts.
