The Muskingum 250 Committee is a nonprofit, operating under the 501(c)(3) of Muskingum County History. The committee was formed in July 2023, and Muskingum County became an official America 250 - Ohio Commission Community in October 2023. Muskingum 250 has received grants from the Muskingum County Community Foundation for the Trailblazers and Founders Memorial Project.

• Events that occurred in Muskingum County while it was still Washington County
• Zane's Trace
• War of 1812

We will have a regional emphasis on Ohioans and veterans who served in the Revolutionary War and War of 1812, and who settled in Muskingum County, being intentional to include all of Muskingum County.
