Ned Spencer Scholarship

***This scholarship will now be available on March 1st. At that time, once you sign into GOapply, under Opportunities, you will apply for the “MCCF – Standard Scholarship Application”. Once submitted, you will receive a list of scholarships you are eligible for and may choose to apply for.***

Ned Spencer was a graduate of Philo High School and Muskingum University. Throughout his upbringing, sports and the community were held dear to Ned. He was an amazing athlete where he lettered in any team he participated in. Ned's passion for baseball (where he played at PHS, Muskingum University, and the Junior and Senior Pioneers) led him to coach the Philo High School varsity baseball team. Throughout his career, he touched many lives through his work ethic and always-positive outlook in any circumstance, even the tough times.

After some serious health issues, Ned spent time with various therapists to help with his rehabilitation. This was a challenge for Ned, having been so active throughout his life. The physical and occupational therapist never gave up and made a tremendous impact in Ned's life. Our hope is to help fund the next generation of individuals like the ones who stepped up to help Ned.

REQUIREMENTS
• Must be a senior attending Philo High School.
• Must have a 2.75 GPA or above.
• Must be planning to attend a 2-year or 4-year college or university.
• Demonstrating volunteer work is encouraged.
