Two $600 scholarships to be awarded
Miss Olaf Hanson, a graduate of The Ohio State University (B.S), received
advanced degrees from the Baptist Missionary Training School in Chicago, and from the Hartford Seminary (M.A.). She later served as National Director of Children’s Work for the Friends United Meeting and traveled both in the United States and in England for this religious education program. She retired in 1977 from her reading teacher position at Frazeysburg Elementary School where she taught for nine years
Scholarship Requirements:
• Students must have completed their sophomore year of college
• Students pursuing the following degrees will be considered:
Undergraduate
Masters
Doctorate in Education
• GPA requirement: 2.5 and above
• Scholarship selection is not based on financial need
• Open to anyone with permanent residence in Muskingum County.
• Applicants for the scholarship may be attending a college or university anywhere in the United States or abroad.
Students should include the following:
1. Application form
2. Two (2) Letters of reference in support of applicant and to verify interest in Education
3. Essay (250 words maximum) by applicant as to why he or she is going into field of education and what the scholarship will be used for.
4. Transcript or unofficial record of previous college coursework
