Martin Luther King Jr. Book Scholarship Application Now Available

MARTIN LUTHER KING, JR. BOOK SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION RELEASED
ZANESVILLE- The Martin Luther King, Jr. Book Scholarship application is now available. The applications must be postmarked by November 21st, 2016.
The Martin Luther King Jr. Scholarship Fund at the Muskingum County Community Foundation hopes to encourage graduating seniors from Muskingum County to pursue higher education at a 2 or 4-year college or university. Multiple $500 book scholarships will be awarded in 2017.
Applicants for the scholarship must be minority students, 2017 Muskingum County high school graduates who have taken a CP, Honors or AP track throughout high school with a 3.0 GPA (on a 4.0 scale) and have applied to a 2 or 4-year college or university. Applicants must attach an official high school transcript that shows ACT scores and cumulative GPA to their application in order for it to be considered complete.
Other requirements to receive the MLK Jr. Book Scholarship include receiving an 18 or higher composite ACT score, passing all OGT tests and attending an appointment with a College Access Advisor to plan for their post-secondary education. Recipients of the MLK Jr. Book Scholarship are required to attend the 2016 Martin Luther King Jr. Scholarship Fund Prayer Breakfast on January 16th, 2017, where they will be recognized for their achievement.
The scholarship application form is available at the Muskingum County Community Foundation, 534 Putnam Avenue, Zanesville, or online at www.mccf.org. Applications must be postmarked by Monday, November 21st, 2016.
