Applications Being Accepted for Flanagan Textbook Scholarship

The Muskingum County Community Youth Foundation and Scholarship Central are pleased to announce that applications are being accepted electronically for the 2015-16 Oliver Flanagan Scholarship.
The Oliver Flanagan Scholarship Fund was established in March 2007 by Mary Flanagan, Oliver’s widow. The purpose of the Fund is to assist worthy students who have graduated from secondary schools in Muskingum County with the purchase of college textbooks.
The recipient of the Oliver Flanagan Award will be a college sophomore, junior, senior or graduate student who graduated from a Muskingum County high school, holds a cumulative 3.0 grade point average in college and can demonstrate financial need.
The current level of assistance is $250.00. Students receiving the Award must have proof of textbook purchases and request reimbursement. The winner will be required to submit copies of book receipts and write a thank you note to claim their award. The selection of the Award recipient will be made by the Community Youth Foundation at their March meeting.
Any Muskingum County high school graduate who has completed at least their freshman year at a two or four-year accredited college, technical college or university or graduate student within the United States is eligible to apply.
