Please join us for an informative and educational evening geared toward helping students and parents with anything and everything dealing with the college process!!

The event will take place at Zane State College/Ohio University-Zanesville Campus Center located at 1555 Newark Road, Zanesville, Ohio.

College Night is a community service project developed by Muskingum, Coshocton, Guernsey, Morgan, and Noble County high school guidance counselors to provide parents the tools necessary to help their children choose an appropriate post-secondary education. Scholarship Central and the Muskingum County Community Foundation graciously agreed to lend their financial support to the project. Participation in College Night 2013 is free of charge for all attendees. The targeted audience will be for students in grades 6-12.

There will be several different presentations focusing on the following:
• How to Start the College Search Process, Tips on Choosing the Right College for You, and How to Do a Campus Visit
• College Life: The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly – A Student’s Perspective
• Admissions: College Application and Acceptance Processes
• Understanding Your Financial Aid Package
• College Admission Testing: ACT
• Why Should I Consider a Two Year College?
• Student Involvement & Living on Campus
• Show Me the Money: Tips for Searching for Scholarships
• High School Courses Colleges Look For…from an Admissions Counselor
• OCIS Presentation
• College Survival 101
• Top Ten Careers
• Financial Aid-Help with the FAFSA
• Meeting Students’ Special Needs
• Athletes in College: Former Student Athletes’ Perspective

* MORE THAN TEN $250 SCHOLARSHIPS AND OTHER PRIZES WILL BE AWARDED.
*Only current middle school and high school students are eligible to win scholarships. Recipients must be present to win.
