Posted on 09/24/2012
Applications are presently being accepted for The Ronna Bucci and Dr. Charles Dietz Art Endowment Fund 2012 Artist’s Award. The award is presented in memory of Ronna Bucci, a young artist, and Dr. Dietz, the longtime Director of the Zanesville Art Center. The award is an annual project of the Ronna Bucci and Dr. Charles Dietz Art Endowment Fund at the Muskingum County Community Foundation (MCCF), which provided initial gifts to the fund, along with the Bucci family, Dr. Dietz, the Beaux Arts Club, and several other community members. Contributions may be made to the Fund by individuals and organizations to enhance the giving program, which includes the Artist’s Award and an annual college scholarship award to a student pursuing a major in the field of art.
Artists who live in Muskingum County or are members of the Zanesville Appalachian Arts Project (ZAAP) are eligible to apply for the Artist’s Award, which is a monetary grant of $500 to further the recipient’s career as an artist. The award may be used for supplies, materials, exhibition fees, seminars, conferences and other activities that may provide assistance to the artist. Application forms may be obtained at the Muskingum County Community Foundation (MCCF), 534 Putnam Avenue, Zanesville, Ohio 43701; at the ZAAP Gallery, 625 Main Street, Zanesville, Ohio 43701; or downloaded here. Completed applications must be submitted to the Muskingum County Community Foundation by 5:00pm Monday, October 15, 2012.
The presentation of the 2012 Artist’s Award will take place at the ZAAP Gallery at 7:00 pm November 2, 2012 during the Artist Colony of Zanesville’s “First Friday” event.
