Community Foundation Accepting Nominations for the Brian T. Wagner Community Leadership Award

ZANESVILLE- The Muskingum County Community Foundation is seeking nominations for the Brian T. Wagner Community Leadership Award.
The award was established by the Foundation Council to honor individuals between the ages of 18 and 45 to encourage young adults to give time to their community. A nominee may have successfully led a special volunteer project, have a long history of volunteer service or have shown particular courage or determination.
The selected recipient will be honored at the Community Foundation’s 25th Anniversary Groundhog Day Celebration on Friday, January 29, 2010. The recipient’s favorite nonprofit organization will receive a grant of $1,000 from the Community Foundation.

To nominate an outstanding community leader, one must submit a letter explaining why the person should receive the award and a detailed description of the individual’s service to the community, as well as the nominee’s address and phone number. Nominations must be received at the Community Foundation office, 534 Putnam Avenue, Zanesville by Friday, December 4, 2009 at 12 p.m.
The Foundation Council is a group of volunteers within the Community Foundation that seeks to enhance our community’s philanthropic spirit through fundraising, awareness and educational programs in support of the Muskingum County Community Foundation.
