Chris Zemba to Receive Wagner Award

Chris Zemba has been named the recipient of the 2017 Brian T. Wagner Community Leadership Award. This award was established by the Muskingum County Community Foundation (MCCF) Council in 2005 to honor volunteer leaders between the ages of 18 and 55 and encourage other young adults to lead efforts to improve Muskingum County.
The award will be presented to Zemba on Friday, January 27, 2017, at the Ohio University Zanesville/Zane State College Campus Center during the annual Groundhog Day event celebrating MCCF’s 32nd anniversary.
Zemba is the owner/operator of Champion Services, LLC, a company he established in Zanesville in 2013, specializing in septic, excavation, trucking and portable toilet services. A lifelong resident of Zanesville, Zemba attended St. Nicholas Elementary School and graduated from Bishop Rosecrans High School in 1993.
He is a member of St. Thomas Parish and has served as a board member for Good Samaritan Hospital and Forever Dads. He received the 2012-13 Sertoma “Service to Mankind Award.” Zemba also is a longtime biddy league football coach. He and his wife, Katie, have four children.
