The Muskingum County Community Foundation manages
a collection of funds contributed by individuals, families, businesses, and estates. The Foundation awards grants from these funds to nonprofit organizations serving Muskingum County, as well as scholarships to local students to help them achieve educational goals.
In addition to supporting local organizations and students through grants from the Foundation's component funds, MCCF holds a
grant competition each spring that allows agencies to compete for funding from the Foundation's general fund. In 2009, the
Foundation's Distribution Committee awarded $20,000 to nine local organizations as a result of the grant competition.
MCCF is a community resource for organizations and individuals seeking grant opportunities or funding for capital projects and programs that improve the quality of life in Muskingum County.
Grantseekers Central provides our community with public access to print and electronic resources of the Foundation Center, giving local organizations the opportunity to find funding outside of the Foundation's financial support.
In 2008, the Muskingum County Community Foundation awarded $1,642,097 in grants to area nonprofit organizations, community projects and initiatives. Visit
Grants Awarded to see a list of those organizations who received a grant in 2008.
